DON'T BE A POLITICIAN

Politicians are elected officials who run the federal government and state and local governments. They enact and carry out laws and make decisions about the distribution of public funds. There is no formal training to become a politician. Many lawyers enter politics, but anyone can become a politician. All it takes is the desire to influence the laws of the country or of your particular city, town or state.

Politicians tend to be an unpopular lot. It’s a thankless job that they do. No matter what decision they make, more people are as likely to be unhappy with the decision than like or support it. Part of their problems they bring upon themselves. Part of their problem stems from doing what it takes to get the job. Salespeople can often fall victim to these same mistakes.

If people would ask me for my opinion about politics, well… I would just probably wince at the thought. Politics nowadays are either worse or worst and there’s nothing in between. The politicians can’t blame us though for thus because we always hear of news exposing a politician’s act of wrongdoings such as stealth and corruption. Add that to politicians taking kick-backs, cheating on their spouses and lying to their constituents. It's not hard to see why politicians have gained a bad reputation. I of course appreciate their dedication to enact l was and everything but there’s always more than reason to hate the politics than to love it.  Some of these are the following:

1.       Politicians are always politicians. They don’t think of people when they say they do.

2.     Politicians always want to show their opponent is wrong, instead of showing why they are the best option.

3.     Politics is about the people, not to make the politician look good.

4.     The more money a government has, and the more power it has, the more corrupted it is.

5.     Politicians always say what they will do, but they never say how they will do it.

6.    It is easy to promise things, the hardest is to fulfill them

7.     The guy who speaks the most and stuffs his mouth with words is the one who won’t do anything.

8.    Debates are such a waste of time. It’s to show that politicians act like children fighting for a football

9.    I don’t believe in guns and weapons because violence generates violence.

10. Student loans and grants are like the Perpetual Education Fund. If you get rid of it, you will have a bunch of talking donkeys asking you for water.

11.    I believe illegal immigration should be addressed according to each situation. I agree some people should be just kicked out, but others should be given a chance.

12.  I hate construction zones because it takes too long to complete something, and because driving becomes confusing.

13.  I hate wars with other countries.

14.  I don’t know if politicians talk about something that it is not “I” “me”, “mine” and “my”.

15.  If a politician is pointing with his finger to somebody else, his other fingers are pointing to himself.

16. Politics is like a drug, once you have taken it, you just want more and can’t let it go.

17.  I believe in sustaining the U.S. president, the governors, and all other people appointed to any other office, whoever they are and no matter their political party.

18. I believe politicians don’t sustain their president. That’s why they still fight each other.

19. I believe in social programs and that the government should help those who are unable to do it. But I also believe that all people should be self-sufficient.

20.   Having social programs doesn't mean socialism.

TUTORIAL: WRITING A LOVE LETTER

In the age of text messaging and rushed emails, a love letter, especially a handwritten one, is a rare and special treat.

Writing the perfect love letter can sometimes be a challenge. After all, love is an emotion, and it can be extremely difficult to accurately transcribe your emotions into a meaningful set of words. Yes it is easy to spell out the words “I love you”, but these words are relatively hollow without a little contextual substantiation.

3 Simple Questions

So, how do you prove our love without writing a lengthy novel depicting every detail of your relationship? It’s actually quite simple. Just ask yourself 3 questions:

• What feelings are inspiring me to write this love letter?
• If I write only one short paragraph expressing my love, how will I convince my significant other that this paragraph is all I needed to write?
• What will this one paragraph say?

STEPS IN WRITING THE PERFECT LOVE LETTER: 

1.  Choose a nice paper or stationery. Don’t email a love letter. Give the person something they can touch, feel, and even tuck into their pillow at night. It's best to write on plain paper that has either a simple, calming color.

2.  Set the mood. Go somewhere quiet, put on some romantic music, and dim the lights. Make sure you won’t be interrupted. If you have a song or album that reminds you of the person, put it on. It will help you conjure up memories and feelings.

3. Use an intimate salutation. Address the person as “beloved,” “dearest,” “beautiful,” “most cherished,” or, if appropriate, a pet name. If you are already in a romantic relationship, you can say “my".

4.  Think of a time when you felt particularly moved by seeing your loved one, no matter how small the event. Recall the moment in vivid detail. Remember the emotional and physical feelings you experienced in that moment. Then, write a description of that moment including details about your feelings at the time.

5.  Tell the person what you appreciate most about them. Tell her all the things you love about her. Think about her physical characteristics, her personality, her character, and all the wonderful things she does for you. Is it their compassion? Thankfulness? Beauty? Sense of humor? Humility? Resourcefulness? How do they make you feel every day? Write about a combination of attributes to let this person know that you appreciate them on a number of levels.

6.  Write about the future. Reaffirm your love and commitment. If you’re confessing your feelings for the first time, admit how giddy you are every time you know you’re about to see them again. If you’re apart, describe all the things you want to do together when you’re reunited. If you’re committed, discuss some goals, dreams, and fantasies you have about your future life together.

7.  Sign the letter. Suitable sign offs include “Yours,” “Yours Forever,” “XOXO,” “Kisses,” “Love,” and “Love Always.” If applicable, include a pet name, inside joke, or even a reply to a long-unanswered question to make it more personal.

8.  Add a personal touch. Put lipstick on and kiss the paper, spray the perfume or cologne you always wear on the paper, or trace your hand on the back so that the other person can hold their hand up to yours.

LABELS, STANDARDS AND EXPECTATION. WELCOME TO OUR SOCIETY.

We live in a world full of lies and broken promises.

We live to please everyone yet end up hating ourselves.

Can you even remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?

In our society of today, people are labeled whether you and your actions are good or bad; you are judged with everything you do. People are expected to meet its standards otherwise you mean nothing.

You don’t put on makeup, they call you sick and pale.

You put on makeup, they call you a clown.

You wear clothes, they call you boring.

You wear fewer clothes, they call you a slut.

You’re thick, they call you obese.

You’re thin, they call you anorexic.

You’re friendly, they call you fake.

You’re quiet, they call you rude.

You’re virgin, you’re too good.

You’re non virgin, they call you a whore.

Then people will ask why you’re sad and depressed and why you hate your life.

You then start to hate ourselves as much as we hate everyone else.

You parents will tell you you’re good enough. But you feel otherwise.

No one cares until you’re dying. No one will notice until you’re gone.

And when you’re gone, they’ll start to give you importance.

AND SO WE’LL SAY THE SOCIETY DESTROYED US.

But hey…

WE BLAME THE SOCIETY BUT WE ARE THE SOCIETY.

We’re afraid to be called slut but we put on more makeup than clothes.

We judge the young girl for having a son not knowing she was raped.

We judge the old man who have scars in his face not knowing he had an accident.

We judge the illiterates not knowing they started to work at young age.

We judge our very strict teacher not knowing she was abused by her parents.

We judge those who consume drugs not knowing how depressed, lonely and misguided they were.

We laugh at everyone’s mistake.

We don’t return someone’s wallet. We become selfish and greedy.

We don’t return favors. We don’t even say thank you.

We choose our friends over our parents. We neglect.

We become materialistic and worldly.

We become everything we said we will never be.

THE SOCIETY DESTROYED US

WE DESTROYED THE SOCIETY.

Like me, I know how much all of you love to watch music videos especially those that are from our favorite artists. Like me, I know a lot of couch potatoes who are fond of watching TV series. So I would like to share this quick process that will help out on keeping the videos you love from Youtube. Photos are attached to the following steps for better understanding. :)

FIRST STEP: Go to Youtube. Copy the link of the video you want to download.

SECOND STEP: Open another tab and go to  www.computerhope.com

THIRD STEP: At the search bar, enter download video. In the results page, choose the first one link.

FOURTH STEP: Paste the URL of the video and press download.

FIFTH STEP: Another tab will open. Press download. Choose video quality then the download will start.

MEMOIR: Silly old friends

SOUL MATES?

I think they exist. Just not always romantically.

Think are certain people you will meet in your life who you just connect with more than anyone else and you just know it isn’t a typical thing and you understand each other perfectly. And this person won’t always be your significant other. It could be your friend.

Spongebob’s got a Patrick.

Garfield’s got a Johnny.

Phineas got a Ferb.

Finn’s got a Jake.

Me? I just have the best friends in the world. No big deal.

My friends are the loveliest. They are not perfect but when we’re together, my world is. They’re the most beautiful people I know because they accept and love me as I am.

If I would compare my different group of friends (childhood friends, internet friends, elementary friends, imaginary friends, high school friends and college friends) to movies, I prefer the following:

 *F.R.I.E.N.D.S (but it’s a series though) for some of my friends are dumb, some are always in love and some are just crazy.

*SPRING BREAKERS for we really are suckers for vacations and the beach!

*PITCH PERFECT and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL for days with friends are always composed of singing (well in our case, making noise)

*BAND OF BROTHERS for no one gets left behind.

I am more than blessed to have these people beside me.

When I was scolded by my grade six teacher for wincing at her, they were there supporting me.

When I was sent to the principal’s office for kicking a classmate on the first day of school, they were there laughing at me.

When I was being left behind by my first love, they were there comforting me and telling me that it was his lost.

When I was missing my parents, they were with me.They’re with me through everything. 

And since I now do not know where this’ll go, I’ll end this blog by asking these barbaric creatures to please, just please stay with me forever.

It’s always nice to have some people who you know appreciates you. They make you realize that in life, you do not need plenty of friends. A few good, true friends are enough to make your stay in this world meaningful. It’s good to have friends who are imperfect but you know will stay forever.

Imagine your life without friends. Huh I dare you.

MEMOIR: And sometimes, life is crazy..

“Because sometimes things happen to people and they’re not equipped to deal with them.”

Life is a roller coaster ride. It has its ups and down, its twists and turns.

Life is a journey. You may go through a bulky road or a smooth runway.

And sometimes, LIFE IS CRAZY.

Allow me to share this to you. I have a very good friend of mine who, at the age of six, had an accident. She was on her first grade when she was unable to walk for a week after falling off a vehicle. It was then when her life started to get less happy for this accident left her with a scar which whoever doctor knows might remain forever and make her remember what happened to her at her young age. The scar which made her wore long pants when going outside the house just to be free from kids who would bully her if they see the big scar they might think of as a serious illness. This was the scar who made her ill-confident with herself and everything she does.

After a long time, this same person went through another test. Her father happened to have an affair with a married woman. He started drinking and going home late. He started ditching his job. He started neglecting his family. He started to forget. He started to change. And he started to hurt his children and wife.

After some time, my friend’s mother finally decided to abscond to somewhere far. Somewhere far from the husband he once knew. And for some reason, my friend was left behind. She was forced to live alone (with her mother’s siblings) for a year. She was unhappy and upset and has no one to talk to but her few friends, who, after some time, for again, some stupid reason, abandoned her. That was the time she learned to depend to no one but on herself. She learned how to be independent (but still lives with the family though). It was then when she learned to fight for herself and to talk to God when no one was there to hear her cries and sobs in her room.

And now, after all the crazy things my friend gone through, she’s still here living her life which she thought will never be happy again. She had learned a lot of life lessons from the hardships she was able to overcome. She had learned a lot from life itself.

The scar I was telling you about is now one of the things that makes her more determined to make a change in her life. That scar, according to her mom, should become one of the sources of her inspiration to succeed in life. Her family should be her number one drive to choose the right man for her and not have to experience what has been experienced by her family before. My friend is a strong person.

Reflecting to this, I can still call myself blessed. I am even more than blessed that I didn't have to go through the same things. I also realized that what I usually cry over is nothing compared to other people’s battle.

It is true that..
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON
and that
WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER.

It may screw you up mentally and create a damage of you but it still makes you stronger at later part. Life also is not unfair. We may not like the things that go on around us and think we are being played. But have you forgotten that God will not give us something we cannot carry? If He gives us a problem that is something BIG that it consumes us, let us not forget that He just wants us to come to Him and ask for help.

Life’s trials and hardships are what make us tough and if you're able to overcome these, nothing will scare you anymore.

MEMOIR: Five years, two people.

We all deserve someone who will 

make us look forward to tomorrow 

and the day after that.
I am rather blessed to find someone.

Once upon a time, I was depressed and brokenhearted.

My heart was in a state of calamity. My ever so stupid first love gave up on me.

And so I gave up on myself too.

And so I changed.

I entered relationships with some boys I hardly know.

Although it was only through text messages and phone calls that I had these ‘boyfriends’ who ‘love’ me, I somehow felt existing. Half-healed yet existing. 

I played games. I played with their hearts just to be happy again. And when there seems no chance of happiness anymore..

a magic happened.

My boy, ain't the one that I saw coming.
He healed what had been crushed into pieces.
He loved the unlovable.

It was on the 4th of August 2008 when I made a promise to be his best girlfriend I can be.

He isn't the most handsome guy you'll ever meet. 
He also doesn't have the body of the actors we fantasize about.
He.. He's just him.


This guy makes me the happiest everyday. He never gets tired of making me smile, making me laugh. He never gets tired of me. (Lucky me)

He always surprises me and I so love surprises!!!! :) He makes me fall in love with him even more each day. 
He makes me happy.


This man is such a happy person and that's what I like about him.
He laughs over simple things.
He laughs when I trip, fall and break something.
He laughs to my dumbest jokes.
He laughs so hard that each of his tooth is seen.
He laughs so hard that he doesn't notice the spark in my eyes as I look at this stupid, happy young man.

Our relationship is very playful in a way that we actually treat the other as his/her best bud. We even call the other names that are either dirty or funny. *insert evil laugh

HE TEASES ME AND I SPANK HIM.
HE WINKS AT ME AND I PINCH HIM.
HE PLAYS WITH MY HAIR AND I SQUEEZE HIS NOSE.




He is a total couchpotato.
And so am I (which I guess why we clicked that quick).
We usually spend the day together watching movies.
We both have this love for scifi and comedy ones.
He watches me cry from chick flicks.
He shuts up when it is my favorite actor on the screen.

We play Call of Duty. He teaches me how to kill
those barbaric-brain-eating Nazi Zombies.
He teaches me how to prepare for the 
ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.
Which is already happening to London.
Don't laugh.

 

   

He prepares me food. Good food for that matter.
He knows how much I love bread and desserts.
He knows how much I love him.
He knows how I am so proud of him.
He knows how thankful I am to know and be loved by him.

Isn't it nice to find someone who, in spite
of your own differences and imperfections, fits you perfectly?
Who, after seeing how much mess you can be, still chooses to stay with you. Someone who didn't promise to you anything but proves how much he is serious about making you the happiest.


I do not love him. I'm in love with him.
Despite the flaws, imperfections, craziness and belly as big as a walrus'
